In Jaranwala, Faisalabad the angry muslim mob set fire to more than twenty churches and two hundred Christian houses, accusing them of blasphemy. At 5:00 a.m. on the 16th of August, after the Fajr call, the local Maulvi in his announcement raised the religious sects of Muslims and incited them to attack Christian families and churches. After the announcement, angry mobs, armed with incendiary materials, entered Christian-populated areas، and told them to leave the houses within ten minutes.
The poor Christians fled for their lives and honor, and saw with their own eyes everything in their houses destroyed. This is not the first incident of its kind. Even before this, Christians have been targeted for revenge. We appeal to the international media to take full notice of this incident, and this incident should be strongly condemned.
